We were shopping at Tesco in Cardiff, and I was walking down the aisles with my shopping trolley minding my own business and suddenly, a tall white guy did a “finger gun shot” in my chest from within an arm’s length as e walked past me.

Feeling a bit odd, I thought he was just joking or it could be an act of racism. As no harm was done, I ignored it.

From then, I started to feel like there were some people looking at me as if they were scared to be standing next to me. What is wrong with these people? What is wrong with me?

It was later in the evening that I realised the reactions from people was due to my wearing of the Chelsea FC Jersey! Let me explain further – Cardiff and Chelsea FCs had a football match in Feb 2010, in fact it was the FA Cup 5th Round and Chelsea won 4-1. Following that Cardiff FC fans and Chelsea fans had a physical clash in London. Several hundreds of fans from both sides were involved. Investigations are still on going…

Whooppss… I did not know about it… and almost got beaten up for nothing.. hhehehe..

I think the Jersey will be going back into the closet for a while now!! lol

Its been a while since I really blog about my/our lives. Going to do a summarised version today.

i) Chloe has turned one and we are pregnant with our 2nd baby and as of today its 14 weeks + old. Daisy is having a hard time with this pregnancy, and comparing it with Chloe’s, this one is making her think twice about the 3rd baby at this moment whilst with Chloe, she really enjoyed her pregnancy.

ii) we went away to Phuket with my mum’s siblings and family, 11 of us and the trip was fun yet hectic. Eat lots of nice food, but some of us got food poisoning on the last day. DnAnC + Mama is going back to Phuket again, (thanks to Marriot Vacation Club complimentary stay) and we hope that this coming trip will be a much more chilled holiday.

iii) I noticed that they are a lot of dangerous and rude drivers around and I seriously was considering if I should buy an in-car video cam to record the rude moves that some drivers do. Sometimes I get “cut” by “F1 racers” in Toyota and Hondas doing a speedy lane change, so dangerous that if the car previously in front of me brakes we would get into a collusion, me hitting his right rear bumper. One particular driver I remember, SCP1133A, Silver Honda Civic.

iv) Have been playing a bit of badminton, and decided that will pick up this sport back and play it a bit more seriously and long term.

v) Wanted to go to visit a nursing home back due to time clash, we could not go and went to attend a relative’s wedding instead. Almost gone to a CNY dinner for grassroot leaders with GOH, PM Lee, but had food poisoning so gave it a miss.

vi) Health has not been fantastic. Currently having a back pain that goes back since a while ago. Seeing a specialist to get a diagnosis. Hopefully will not miss the ICT in May.

vii) Potentially (80%) selling the car as it is nothing but a big liability to us right now. 80% of the time its just sitting in the carpark. It is more of a luxury item than a necessity, hence it should really go. Anyone wants to buy it? Or anyone wants to buy the registration plate? SGN126P.

viii) Want to try scenario paintball one day so if someone wants to join me pls pls pls let me know. Need to travel to Malaysia though. Maybe airsoft too.

I think that is about all. Updates again later..

Family Swimming Day!

Took Chloe to the local swimming pool today… The weather was not too hot and there were clouds in the sky – so we thought why not!!!

With her wetsuit, floatie toys, inflatable arm bands and palm-tree ring with holes for her legs, Chloe was ready for her first proper swim!

Hupps held Chloe as he went into the water… (Water wasn’t too cold)… Her legs touched the water, then her waist – no crying yet – so all seemed ok… Then we progressed to put her into the inflatable palm-tree ring… All of a sudden as Hupps let go of her – Chloe panicked – *Loud screams, tears!*

So we pulled her out of the ring, held her and calmed her down… Played in the water with her for a while and everything seemed good! *Splash, splash!* Tried again to put her in the palm-tree ring – but Chloe didn’t really feel comfortable – so just held her throughout the whole time in the water…

Must go more often! Had fun – even though the staff there were mortified that we should bring such a young baby boy(!?!?) to a swimming pool -*Firstly, she’s a girl with still not much hair grown! And she’s 6 months old now!* – “What if she falls ill? Don’t swim too long! It’s too cold… You young parents are not experienced…” Ummm – Oh well! ;)

Check out Chloe's wetsuit - cutie!Pose time!

Do I need a GPS tracking watch?

GPS tracking watches can help you to track your distance and your speed when you are training to run a marathon, doing a triathlon or even just for a casual hike.

The advantages of having a GPS tracking function on a watch allows you to track your performance and feedback to you whether your training is effective or not.

So now, as you might have found out that I am trying to train for my IPPT, and I am trying to get Gold award for the cash reward (to give to my wife), I have been thinking of getting a digital watch that does heart rate, countdown timer. With just these 2 functions, I can train better for my IPPT 2.4km run, and I can get a Timex for about $60. But I also have intentions of running a mini triathlon and maybe half marathon in the future, so I was thinking, do I need GPS function on my watch?

What do you think?
