Today is the 4th day of Chloe’s fever, average of 39 high degrees Cel, highest being 40.7. Its really a parent’s worst nightmare when the todder/baby has got high fever, worst still, continuous and not coming down. As a parent, I was more concerned about any permanent and irreversible damage to her brain or parts. Needless to say, the nights were not easy to pass. And for the 1st time, Chloe rejects her food, now that was worrying…

Seen doctor twice and been to hospital once, it seems like 40 deg Cel. in UK does not really trigger any flag/alert in local healthcare dept. To me as a medic in the army, this temperature for an adult will warrant an IV drip immediately, so I was very surprised that no action were taken except issueing some paracetomol and ibuprofen… No cold bath is recommended either.

On the good news side, Andre was born in the early hours of 25th August 2010, weighing 4.14kg. Very big baby even surprising the UK midwives.

Both mother and baby are ok up till this point.

Busy busy busy.

Very inspiring speech and words of wisdom… but I m not so sure if I will pour cola on my car seat, unless I got some great car seat covers!! Great guy that knows a lot about life and living.

Today on my 30th birthday, I

i) woke up at 4am then slept at 5am, woke up at 7am to help feed Chloe milk, and slept again at 730am till 10am.

ii) painted the fence and learnt a quote. “It is not how much paint you painted on the timber that matters, its how much the timber can absorb that matters.” Often for many things, this principle applies, one of them is, “It is not how many times you read the notes that matters, it is how much that will get into your brain that matters.”

iii) whilst painting the fence I was greeted in mandarin (ni hao) by a group of kids (10 years old max) and I said ni hao back. One of them even did a kungfu style salute. I thought to myself, they must have watched The Karate Kid and they must have thought all handy man possess some sort of kungfu… hehehehe…

iv) whilst painting the fence, listening to my techno songs i did some dance moves and suddenly my mother-in-law tapped me on my shoulder, laughing..

v) whilst painting the fence, someone asked me for road directions, I helped him with my Iphone Google Map, and he was quite impressed with the technology…

vi) I managed to convince Chloe that she needs to behave herself, if not Daddy will punish her. She nodded when I said to her, “If you are naughty, I will put your finger into the froggy’s mouth (ceramic ornament), so are you going to be a good girl?” And she shook her head when I asked, “Are you going to be naughty?”

vii) Instead of the plan of going out for a meal with Daisy, we decided to eat in with Mummy and Gavin, and straight after meal, Daisy complained of pain and tiredness, so now she is sleeping next to me whilst I type this blog post..

What a day.

Thanks guys for the surprise birthday bbq party……

Was watching this movie (The Blind Side) on the plane. Found it to be really touching and full of emotions.

I always like movies based on a true story, and especially if it is 100% factual, so this movie is something that I have to watch, even though my biological clock was telling me to sleep.

What I like about the movie is the humbling touch that the leading female character gave to that young boy. Absolutely magical and it makes the difference in that kid’s life.

Totally must watch!!! I give it a 5/5 stars!!

What I really learn and re-instill into my mind from watching the movie is, I/we need to be living the way the Tuohys are in the movie, in the near future.

Morale of story: Give if you can afford to.

Anyone with covert military skills, who wants to have a laugh should watch WWE Studios’ film “The Marine 2“. Opening scene is such a comical scene.

He is a reccon trained sniper, lying al fresco-ly on the rooftop of a building, trying to snipe someone with a HK Sniper rifle, the victim was like max 60 metres away!!

As I watched along the way on the A380, I got more comical scenes, when he physically hear the RPG from behind him, he turned and he did a “Matrix” stunt….

And a lot of other ridiculously not realistic scenes like how he did not get pelletised by the dozens of grenades that was thrown towards him etc…

Go watch it and have a good laugh..

Maybe WWE should just concentrate on their fake Wrestling biz…

This is a short and quick message to all the people that I care about, including myself.

I think all of us right now are at a stage very much different from 10-15 years ago (if you around my age). Some of us are married, maybe with a kid or 2, some of us could be dating, not dating, working, or even unemployed.

I think everyday, every moment is part of a jigsaw puzzle, and your entire life is the completed puzzle, they are a part of your life, so just remember this when you are faced with troubles, problems, and unhappiness, that all of these negative things will make you a better person when you overcome it and that is part of your life, your wisdom booster.

So take a breather and really think about what you want and what will make you happy!

My message today is emphasized in this song. Go on and listen to it. Its from MTV.com, perfectly legal to listen to. I just love the whistle bit.. It clings on to my mind… I bet if you listen to it enough, you will start to whistle it too!!!

We were shopping at Tesco in Cardiff, and I was walking down the aisles with my shopping trolley minding my own business and suddenly, a tall white guy did a “finger gun shot” in my chest from within an arm’s length as e walked past me.

Feeling a bit odd, I thought he was just joking or it could be an act of racism. As no harm was done, I ignored it.

From then, I started to feel like there were some people looking at me as if they were scared to be standing next to me. What is wrong with these people? What is wrong with me?

It was later in the evening that I realised the reactions from people was due to my wearing of the Chelsea FC Jersey! Let me explain further – Cardiff and Chelsea FCs had a football match in Feb 2010, in fact it was the FA Cup 5th Round and Chelsea won 4-1. Following that Cardiff FC fans and Chelsea fans had a physical clash in London. Several hundreds of fans from both sides were involved. Investigations are still on going…

Whooppss… I did not know about it… and almost got beaten up for nothing.. hhehehe..

I think the Jersey will be going back into the closet for a while now!! lol

Happy Mother’s Day!

First of all, I have to thank my mother for bringing me to this world. (I almost didn’t get to see this world, as I was uplanned. lol) She did her best to give my sister and myself, the best that she could ever give and we are really grateful for that. I love you! Ma.

Thank you also to Daisy’s mum for taking great care of Daisy since she was born. I know it was tedious to raise Daisy up, and with so many to take care, you still did a great job with all 6 children, so kudos to you Mummy!

To the mother of our child(ren-to-be),
Thanks for going through the tough pregnancy duration, the sickness that came with it, the extra flesh that has to grow on you, the time and effort nurturing Chloe, and the motherly love you shown even for Andre is beyond words.

Now even though I do not say it everyday, but please know that I am glad that you are the mother of our child(ren-to-be).

Thank you for being such a great mother to our child(ren-to-be). I love you lots. KOL

Other than having a fracture (small crack), Chloe has been learning and absorbing really quickly recently. Maybe at her age she should have been able to do much more, but just almost suddenly she is learning and absorbing at a faster rate than say 1 month ago.

One example – Every time Chloe wants to poo, we have to wait for her signs, her facial expressions and the sounds that she makes, and we need both to confirm that she needs to poo, and sometimes it will be too late and she will not really poo by the time we bring her to the potty. So Daisy taught her a sign language for poo-poo.. Anbd she basically drilled it into Chloe’s mind, everytime I go to toilet for poo, she will tell Chloe Daddy is going to poo-poo, and do the sign for it.

Yesterday, Chloe was sitting in her high chair whilst Daisy and I were having lunch. Suddenly she did a sound, and when we looked at her, she did the poo-poo sign, and when I asked her “Chloe, do you want to poo?” She nodded at the same time looked as though she was straining.

To me that meant that she has understand what Daisy has been teaching her.

Example 2 – A week ago, Chloe has probably no understanding of yes and no. Last week I told Daisy, its time for us to input the concept of yes and no into her. So we went to work with it.

Yesterday, throughout the day, we asked her questions that required a yes or no, she either nodded or shook her head according to her preference. i.e I asked if she wanted Daddy to hold her, she shook her head, and we both knew that she wanted Mummy to hold her, so we asked if Chloe wanted Mummy to hold her, she nodded.

Finally no more guessing, we can get more precise answers from her.

I just want to Thank my beloved wife, Daisy for sacrificing her time and effort on the upbringing of our daughter, Chloe. Daisy could have gone out to work and spend her time to do her own stuff, but she gave up everything for now, just so that Chloe can get the best from her, so Daisy has really done a great thing for Chloe, and the DnA family. I thank you my wife, my love, my kid’s mother, and my mum’s daughter-in-law. On behalf of Chloe too (and the next baby), “Thank you Mummy! We love you!”
