Greedy

Recently, my littl’ cherub Chloe (or Chlo as I call her for short – as if it could be shortened anymore!!) has been really greedy… Always wanting more milk, more food, more snacks… If I stop, she goes all grumpy! You’re probably thinking – No big deal, why worry – just give her more! You see, that’s the problem!! I DID give her more and she never refused… Then all of a sudden *puke*….
I suppose it’s normal for children to eat lots and want to carry on eating (I remember doing it as a kid, esp at a party – where you try and stuff as much sweets, cake down your throat cos you know your mum would never allow you to eat that much sweet stuff at home, or cos you didn’t wana share!! oh yip, been there done that!) – So I’m not surprised with Chlo really!!
The issue is – how much do I feed her then? I still haven’t managed to quite figure it out cos she’s like a yo-yo… Sometimes, she eats lots, sometimes, she eats little! Oh well, NVM!
Also, recently, I’ve been trying to get Chlo to sleep on her own – without feeding her to sleep, patting her, rocking her etc – after I went a bit slack and entered into bad habit phase when she started teething!… So far, it’s been good at nights… She cries for about 15 mins, then drops off to sleep… Sleeps at about 7:30pm and wakes up at about 7am with no feeds at all during the middle of the night!! Yay!! Can’t say much about the naps tho…. but perservering!

I am really trying to get her back into that routine again. Think I must start to let her cry again. She really brawls mind you and there I am in my room listening to those cries and wonder if I am doing it right
How exactly did you get that ,to happen again? After the hospital stay, Hannah haven really slept through. She needs me to pat her or be with her or carry her!
Time to let her cry? What if she doesn’t stop at 15 mins? What if she cries, falls asleep and wakes up to cry again? just let her continue crying?
Also she’s been waking up 3 hours after last 180ml of feed to take another 150ml! Is that growth spurt or what?!
