How to install a turbocharger or can I actually install turbochargers myself? I was thinking of getting a turbocharger installed for my humble Nissan the other day, when I saw a similar car on the road, with sporty rims and turbo kits taking on the tarmac with unimaginable torque and horsepower. Not because I want to be a racer dude driving dangerously on the Singapore roads. But more for better horsepower for overtaking and perhaps taking my car for a circuit course doing my laps!! hehehe…

Here is what I found online to the best knowledge of installing a turbocharger DIY or if you prefer to get the professionals to do it for you, go to Turbo One

Chloe And Her Dresses!

Saturday, April 25, 2009 by in General Blog Posts

Chloe’s got alot of dresses! Some were as gifts, some were bought… Well, I thought dresses are prettier and easier to put on. Also, in this hot weather, it would be more ‘airier’ for her…

However, she doesn’t look so good in dresses!!! She looks fab in t-shirts and shorts/trousers – maybe cos it covers her ‘folds’ and puppy fat!!! Also, the fact that she looks like a boy with her features, the short hair and the different looks she has all in one day (possibly due to water retention or body fat positioning?!?!?) doesn’t do her justice in dresses!! Maybe that’s why she’s getting stares from the general public!! They probably think – poor child, the mother is dressing her bad!!! Oh well, if she doesn’t wear the dresses now – she’ll be too big for them when and if her hair starts to grow or when and if she starts turning girlie!!!

Currently, she’s about 11 weeks and some of the 3-6 months clothes she’s wearing are already starting to be tight!!!

Some of my dresses...

The answer to that is Yes!

Huppy fell ill starting yesterday… fever, joint pains and now a sore throat… He made a trip to the doc and was given antibiotics, and other tablets. In addition, he was also advised no contact with Chloe and to not sleep in the same room cos the infection is airborne! Chloe is sleeping in the same room as us until 6 months… So, as a result, he is sleeping in the bed in the study!

With his pillow and our duvet – off he went to the study! I felt a bit sorry for him, as though I kicked him out of his own bedroom!!! You know, like the films where the husband has done something wrong and he is sent out of the bedroom to sleep on the sofa!!! But in this case, he’s done nothing wrong except be ill!!

Oh well, looking at the brighter side of things… looks like its more bed space for myself for the next few days!!! ;)

That's the life - Sleep, eat and play!

Moral Of The Story…

Monday, April 20, 2009 by in Daisy's Thoughts, General Blog Posts, Health And Well-Being

Today, I read a friend’s blog posting and after reading it, I have decided that, I too, will not forget the moral of the story…

To put it in my own words…

In this day and age, we are often so busy with commitments, too much work, social life, not enough spare time, travelling costs are too expensive or whatever… We often make excuses or reasons not to visit, call or write to those dear and close to us… Why is that so?

And like my friend states – when the unfortunate event of death happens, we are able to drop everything we have at hand to attend their funeral, to make that call to their family member or send that sympathy card… Cost of travelling, length of journey, fully booked scheduled diaries no longer become an issue…

So the moral of the story is:
“GO GO GO! Go and see the people who are special to us, whom we owe them a visit. Who knows how soon the day is when by fate we will no longer be able to see them anymore…”

Family Reunion

Friday, April 17, 2009 by in Daisy's Thoughts, General Blog Posts

We are home in Singapore now… What can I say except – well hot, but well happy cos we are reunited as a family!

We took Singapore airlines the A380.. However, I didn’t really get the chance to fully appreciate the ride cos Chloe kept me well occupied ALL the way… Either with cries or vomits… And the fact that the seat belt sign kept coming up – I couldn’t leave her in the bassinet cos you had to hold your child! All in all, she slept well except during turbulent times – so it’s fine.
London

When we arrived, we quick time bought some essentials like baby bath tub, baby cot, baby bouncer, beddings etc!! Yeah, I know, talk about being well prepared eh! ;) But Hupps didn’t want to buy it yet just incase he bought the wrong stuff!
Rest time
After taking a nap with Chloe, I was ready to set up her “bedroom section” and I love it!! So pink and Winnie the Pooh-ie!”

Imperial Chick & Happy Birthday Mum!

Wednesday, April 15, 2009 by in General Blog Posts

Firstly, a mega-wega Happy Birthday Mum – I’m sure today was an eventful enjoyable day!!!

Today, Mum, DnC decided to visit Sis for lunch at her work place as she had half day – Imperial College… (We’ve been staying at SnK’s before we return to Singa)… In preparation for ‘accidents’ – I like to pack a few extra clothes, nappies etc – just in case! ;)

Our plans were to meet Sis for lunch then go do some shopping all together… We arrived and had some lunch and during lunch Mum asked a qn in the lines of: “Chloe, when you are older, do you want to study at Imperial college?” Ofcos, Chloe can’t answer that!

Anyways, we have lunch, finish lunch, blah-di-blah… Oh no, her first ‘poo leak’ in a long time!!! So off we go to the toilets at Imperial college.. There were no baby changing facilities, so we changed her on the couch in the building! We changed her vest and babygro… I then popped along to the toilet.. When I came out, Mum and Sis said that she had vomitted – so another outfit was changed!!! Ummm… We had one more outfit!! *Farttttttttttttttt* – another leak!!! Oh my – this happened again until there were no more outfits left!!!

So what we had to do was buy an Imperial College souvenir t-shirt for Chloe! There weren’t any small sizes but she looked well trendy! So, now she can say she has her own Imperial College t-shirt!!
For the record - I'm an Imperial Chick!!
