I’ll be 26 weeks in the next few days… Time flies!!! I still remember the beginning stages when my menses was late and I was pregnancy testing, sometimes up to 3 times a day!!! Oh boy, was I a bit crazy in those days!… Nervous, and wouldn’t trust the test results!
So what is happening to our little Chloe? At this stage her little ears should be more receptive and sensitive to our voices…. So DnA better be careful about what we say to each other cos we don’t want her to ears-drop and copy our bad habits/language!!!?? People say you should start speaking to your unborn child – which really means speaking to your belly! I feel a bit weird when I start talking to my belly – or should I say myself! And I try to get Huppy to talk to the belly too… but there’s only so much you can talk to it!!! Instead, I like to just talk to Huppy so that little Chloe can hear us “talk” and get used to our voices! Apparently, research has shown that newborns actually can recognise familiar sounds after birth…. So we better keep it up!
Chloe should theoretically weigh about a pound and two-thirds and measure 14 inches from head to heel…
This pregnancy has been a relatively good/nice pregnancy – *Touch wood*… At least, there was no morning sickness, major complications etc… Ofcos, there’s the aches and pains that come with the pregnancy, and although at times I complain – I am extremely grateful for our little Chloe…. I’m also grateful to my Hupps, my family and frens that I have and to those whom I have become more closer to during these few months – You’ve all been supportive and loving… You’ve been fab and understanding and helpping me out….
I would have liked to have spent more time with some certain people here, throughout the pregnancy, cos I feel that we have drifted – however, it has not been possible, for whatever reason….
However, I am looking forward to going home soon… After a lot of consideration and discussions with my beloved Huppy – we are going home for Christmas and I will stay there to give birth to our baby! Although, here – the medical system is superb -I can’t fault it, and I had my check-ups/scans and antenatal classes all here… I suppose, deep down I would be more comfortable in the environment that I was brought up in and used to… At least the temperature is cold, hence, the confinement period will be so much more easier!!!
I came across this fun thing too… This is what our Chloe should like, if you put DnA’s pics together!!! Hehe…
