To celebrate Huppy’s bday, some of the relatives of his Mum’s side organised a lunch buffet gathering at the Rice Table.
I particularly liked the Ikan Goreng (which is, in lay-man’s terms, fried fish in sweet and sour sauce) – we had 4 servings of this dish!!!
The food was nice – but generally too spicy for me though!!!
Here’s the list of what we ate:
-Soto Ayam (Indonesian chicken soup)
-Sate Ayam (Chicken sate)
-Ikan Goreng (Fried fish in sweet and sour sauce) ————–Fav!!!
-Tahu Telor (Tofu omlette) —————Nice!!!
-Rudjak Manis (Indonesian fruit salad)
-Sambal Udang (Prawns in spicy coconut sauce)
-Sayur Lodeh (Vegetables stewed in coconut gravy)
-Achar Ketimun (Pickled cucmber)
-Otak (Grilled fishcake)
-Kangkong Belachan (Spicy fried Kangkong)
-Ayam Kalio (Spicy curry chicken)——fab first taste until the spicyness hit the back of the throat!!
