Finders Keepers…

For awhile now, I have been searching for another wallet and now particularly seemed to be the perfect time. My path will change when I move to Singa and I suppose I wanted to replace my old wallet with a new one – as a sign of a new beginning…

Today, I randomly came across a wallet in a department store… For those who know me – I am VERY particular with my choices of wallets! It must be mainly red – one of my fav colours for wallets… it must contain plenty of space for cards and coins… It can not be too big nor too small… It doesnt have to branded BUT I must take a shine to it straight away…. I saw it from afar and I took a shine to it straight away!

I approached the cashier’s desk and asked her for a new wallet, rather than the display model… She then went to check… I am not normally nosey – but today, I noticed a silver coin on the cashier’s counter… I picked it up and low and behold…. it was a Singapore 20 cent!!! What on earth is a Singapore 20 cent doing on a cashier’s counter, in a department store in UK?!?!? It put a smile to my face! It reminded me of Singapore – my 2nd home to be…

The cashier returned but with no new wallet, so I accepted the display wallet…
Me: “Do you know you have a Singapore coin on your desk?”
Cashier: ” Yes, a lady found it in her wallet and said it was of no use to her and told me to throw it away. I forgot about that – I have been so busy!”
Me: “Do you think I could have it?”
Cashier: “Sure, I would have only thrown it away!”

I felt really happy… Why? Although it was of no use to this lady – it was of significance to me… Singapore is a part of my life now and to randomly find a Singaporean coin when I was buying a new wallet for Singapore is totally fascinating… What a good choice of wallet!! Hehe… Before I even pay for it – money already starts coming to me!!! I dont intend to use this wallet until I arrive in Singapore… I also dont intend to use the 20 cent – as this is a lucky coin…

I would never have thought of that coin as a lucky coin!! ehahehaha money is money.. But the wallet is something special maybe…
